It is with great sadness that the family of Emilia announce her passing on January 22nd, 2024, a few weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday. With all her children, grandchildren and one great grandchild. She had a great day with family and friends. She passed away peacefully and is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband Jose (1975). Mother of Donzilia (Joao) Lucio, Armando and wife Nancy Carreira and Isabel and husband Manuel Soares. Avo to Alda Budge (Joe), Emily Grayer (Jack), Phil Carreira (Lavinia), Joseph Lucio (Vera), Jennifer Carreira (Ian), Diana Soares, Richard Soares. Great grandmother to 7 and great great grandmother to 8. Also many nieces and nephews here and in Portugal.

Visitation at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor 519–969-5841 on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 2:30 pm till 7:00 pm. Visiting continues on Saturday from 10 am until time of service at 11:30 am. A private internment will follow.
