Obituary for Emilio Salomone
Emilio is survived by his wife Maria and sons Chris (Christine) and Tony (Jill), grandchildren Ryan (Louise), Alicia (Zach), Marino, Maxime (Lauren) & Marcus and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy.
Emilio was a proud member of the Associazione Nationale Alpini Sezione Windsor, Ontario, as well as the Canadian Culinary Federation of Canada. He was inducted into the prestigious Honorary Society of the Canadian Culinary Federation and held the professional designation of CCC, the highest rung on the ladder for chefs in Canada. Most people would remember Emilio as the head Chef at TBQ-The Other Place where he worked for many years.
He was happiest when feeding his family and friends, he loved his garden and all things food related. He was creative and passionate in everything he did. His food always looked too good to eat! His generosity was overwhelming to all who knew him. Emilio was an intensely loyal and loving man who has left a huge void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. He will be in our hearts forever and always.
In lieu of flowers, please send your donations in memory of Emilio to the Associazione Nationale Alpini Sezione Windsor, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
A private family service will be held and a celebration of life will take place at a future date.
