Obituary for Emily Parent
Born in Windsor, Ontario on March 16, 1932. Emily died peacefully on July 9, 2023. Reunited with her beloved husband Gerald (2017). Cherished mother of Sister Linda Parent, Theresa and Bill Balazs, Denise and Kerry Best, Elaine and Tim Smith, Kevin and Mary Parent, Bill and Heidi Parent, and the late Gerald Jr. (2002) survived by Jeannette Parent. Mémé will be fondly remembered by her 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Ernest Drouillard and Della (Bezaire). Survived by her sister Nina Ducedre, and predeceased by brothers Eugene, Remi, Leo, Edmund and sisters Gertrude, Theresa, Cecile, Nora, Edna, and Mary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mom was a proud parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish for close to 70 years. She loved knitting, playing Pepper with her children and especially Nina and Walter. Mom and dad were able to take a few bus tours to the west after dad’s retirement. Mom especially loved her trip to Vegas and played some of the slots.

Visitation on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Friday, July 14, 2023 family and friends are invited to gather at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 834 Raymo Rd., after 10:30 a.m. for a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
