It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eva Marie, age 98, on August 2, 2023. Loving wife of the late Harold (1994) for 78 years. Loving mother to Ronald (Bev), Patricia Hansen, Richard (the late Jackie, 2019), Barbara Fairbank (Bob), and Janice LaRoy (the late Kelly, 2019). Predeceased by children Donna Lynn (1953) and Roger (1963). She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Genevieve Meloche, mother-in-law Linda Jubenville and father-in-law Arthur Jubenville. Proud grandma of Becky, Abbey, Lindsey, Meagan, Jennifer, Nathalie, Chantal, Melanie, Danielle, Carly, Doug, Jenna, Jay, Emily, and Hanna. Great-grandma to Krysten, Matthew, Amber, Jasmine, Riley, Mason, Nathan, Jaxsen, Lucas, Jean Carlo, Theo-Jean, Parker, Scottie-Mae, and one on the way. Dear sister to the late Pearl Maurice, the late Gen Bondy, the late Francis (Clarabelle), the late Thomas (the late Pat), the late Gerald ( the late Joyce), the late Vincent (Janet), the late Bob (Peggy), Gord (Shirley), Marc (Jean), and the late Helen Bondy. Dear sister-in-law to the late Walter Gritke and Beaula, the late Edward Jubenville, and Gerry and the late Billy Jubenville. Missed by many nieces and nephews.

Eva enjoyed her time tending to her home and gardens, a member of Chumettes at River Canard K of C council, engaging in a challenging word find puzzle and her daily glass of wine.

Visitation on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Families First, 2130 Front Road, LaSalle, 519-969-5841.

On Friday, August 11, 2023 all are welcome to gather directly at Sacred Heart Church, 1425 Divine St. in LaSalle, after 10:00 a.m. for a Mass in Celebration of Eva Marie’s Life beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
