Obituary for Evelyn Delisle

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Windsor – Essex on March 7, 2023 at the age of 79.

Former wife of the late Raymond Delisle.
Dear mother of Dan Delisle (Penny).
Predeceased by her son David Delisle (2011) and her daughter Michelle Wood (2013). Her Parents Philias Semande of River Canard and Valida Mailloux of Temiscaming.

Dear Mimi of Lisa Walag (Gregg), Russ Wood (Alison), Kyle Delisle and Brooke Delisle (Alex).

Survived by sister Jeannine Thornton (the late Don 2022), Angela St. Denis (the late Andrew 2016). Sister in law to Bruce Delisle (Lyn) and Ron Delisle (the late Barb). Also survived by 7 nieces and 2 nephews.

Predeceased by her sister Jeanette (1968) and Erine Poulin. And her brother Paul Semande (1998).

Evelyn was a lifelong health care worker, she began this journey as a Nurses Aid at Hotel Dieu Hospital in the 70s. Before retirement she worked for 10 years taking care of the retired nuns in Windsor on Detroit and Sandwich St. Evelyn’s joys were cleaning and gardening, and when she wasn’t found doing that, you my have found her at Bingo or playing in the Casino. The greatest joys of her life were her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

On Sunday March 12 visitation will take place from 6:30pm – 9 pm with Parish Prayers at 7pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. The next day, March 13th, Immediate family to meet at Heavenly Rest Cemetery for burial at 11am.
