Thanks to technology - we were able to "attend" the virtual service for my beloved Aunt Fay. To have been there physically would have been preferred. Karen's words of love and strength were clearly heard and very much felt here in California. I was fortunate to have visited with Aunt Fay and Karen a few years ago while travelling through Windsor. My Uncle Lawrence was also there and we all enjoyed catching up and sharing family stories and then a very nice dinner together. Aunt Fay insisted we all jump in the car so that she could take me on a tour of Windsor including all her favorite places to shop and hang out at. She also took us down to the water front to see the Canadian Flag Karen and her father worked so hard to have installed. We will truly miss her smiling face and kind words. She's in a much better place now - may she rest in peace. We send all our love and prayers - the Kendrick Family of northern California.

I met Fay one cold winter night when I was sent to their home on Daytona. I was to help her husband who was battling Alzheimer's. This sweet lady came to the door with a big smile and welcomed me into their home. It ended up that Les didn't want any help, so Fay decided that I could help her with the house work so she could spend more time with Les during the week. We always had a good laugh and I always looked forward to my time at the Smith's. After Les passed on we continued our friendship with lunch or a coffee somewhere. She was truly a beautiful person and will treasure the memorize! My condolences to the family . Ruth Wright
