Obituary for Francesco (Frank) Coletti

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of a beloved man, the Patriarch of the Coletti Family on February 9th, 2024. Francesco (Frank) Coletti was a loving husband to Elsa for over 65 years and cherished and devoted father of Maria Danese (Val), Dino (the late Sonia), and Andy (the late Sandra). Frank was predeceased by his mother Annunziata (1977), father Giuseppe (1981), brother Tony (1967) and infant sister Rosina.

Frank was born in Casalvieri, Italy and brought to Canada a strong work ethic, personable demeanor, and tenacity to succeed when he immigrated to Canada in the early 1950’s. While developing a keen interest in business and real estate, he worked hard in the construction field, then The Canadian Rock Salt Company where he worked for 44 years. He left a legacy of vast business knowledge and extended his life experiences over many Sunday dinners.

Frank was extremely proud to be Nonno Frank to Melissa (Randy), Christina (Shaughnessy), Daniela (Daniel), Jessica (Jasko), Justin, Joseph (Stephanie), Samantha, Anthony, and Great grandson, Santino.

Frank was not only a husband, father and nonno but a mentor and friend to many. He enjoyed travelling the world with lifelong friends Rita and Nicola DiSalvo. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins from Canada, and the USA.

He was a devoted parishioner of St. Angela Church, and a proud member of the Ciociaro Club for more than 50 years. Frank had a generous nature and was an upstanding “Prince of a Man,” respected entrepreneur, and a source of inspiration to everyone who knew him. He will be forever cherished by those who felt his presence. If you so desire, donations to St. Angela Merici Church would be appreciated.

Visitation on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Thursday 9:15 a.m. from Families First, 3260 Dougall Avenue, South Windsor to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
