It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Francesco on January 15, 2019 at the age of 95. Born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy to parents Nicola and Maria. Beloved husband of Maria (nee: Cimino) with whom he shared 70 happy years of marriage. Loving father of the late Nicola (2017) and Santa Minardi, John and Teresa Minardi, Mary and Robert Mojso. Cherished nonno of Dianna (Paolo), Louisa (Robert), Jessica (late Sean, 2017), Steven (Sarah), Maria (Kyle), Julie (Roberto), Franco (Katie), and Angelo (Julia). Loving bis-nonno to Brianna, Isabelle, Lillianna, Anthony, Nico, Abigail, and Gabriella. Pre-deceased by brother Saverio (2009) and sister-in-law Maria (1993). Survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong member at the Giovanni Caboto Club and was retired from Chrysler. Dad was happiest when spending time with family and friends around the kitchen table with a glass of ‘his’ wine and reminiscing about the “Good Old Days”.

We would like to thank Dr. F. Demarco, Dr. J. Zakaria, Dr. T. Deklaj, Dr. A. Pozzi and the nurses in the E.R. at WROC for the exceptional care given to Dad. Special thanks to the nurses on 8 West for their care and compassion.

On Monday, January 21, 2019, friends are invited to join the family after 9:30am at Corpus Christi Church, 1400 Cabana Rd. W. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
