Obituary for Franco Pellegrino
Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on March 14, 2022 at the age of 80.
Loving husband of Maria for 50 years. Devoted father of Kathy (Dominic) Spatola, Lori (Santino) Pirrone, and Eugene (Tiffany) Pellegrino. Adored Nonno of Bianca, Josephine, Raymond, Luca, Maria and Isabella. Dear brother of Antonio (Mary) Pellegrino, Carmelina (late Battista) Gagliardi, Mario Pellegrino, Barbera (late Franco) Piane, Dora (late Rocco) Porco, the late Marietta Pellegrino, the late Girda Pellegrino and the late Enzo (Rina) Pellegrino. Predeceased by his parents Eugenio and Caterina and parents-in-law Isabella and Salvatore Donato. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law, extended family and friends.
Franco began his craft as a young boy in Italy working as a brick-layer. He brought his passion and expertise to Canada where his work will always be remembered and live on for many generations.
Personal face coverings are required to attend visitation at Families First Funeral Home on Dougall Ave., on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 3 – 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at St. Angela Merici Church at 11:30 a.m. beginning at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Mausoleum.
