Obituary for Frank Peter Stratil

It is with broken hearts that we announce his passing on February 14, 2024 at the age of 64. Loving husband and best friend of Irene for 32 years. Devoted Dad of Adam (Ashley), Lukas (Karen), and Peter (Brittany). Proud Opa and “Captain Frank” of Tessa, Makaela, Tyson, Joseph, Sarah and Avery. Dear Brother of Cecilia (Ron) Hollister and the late Joseph Stratil. Brother-in-law of Monica Lewandowski (Mirko Davidovic). He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Frank had a passion for life and learning. He was a master craftsman and had a gift for restoration and building. He loved boating and was happiest at his cottage up north. Frank had a kind soul, was always humble and very generous with his time and skills. He taught his sons many things throughout their life and his legacy will live on through them and their families. Frank worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years and was looking forward to his retirement. Frank loved nature and being outdoors which lead him to support the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Frank was an enthusiastic member of the Sun Parlor R/C Flyers. Special thanks to the EMS, ER and ICU staff at WRH Metropolitan Campus for their care and compassion, especially Dr. Blaszak, Rachel (RN), and Chris (EMS). Also thank you to Dr. Gupta and her team at the Cancer Clinic for their kindness and compassionate care.

Donations in memory of Frank may be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada. He was a lifelong blood donor and would be pleased if anyone chose to honour his memory by giving blood.
