Fred Frazer

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Fred Frank Frazer on April 16, 2020, at the age of 89, due to complications from COVID19. A great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Cherished husband of the late Katherine Frazer (2016) for 62 years. “World’s best Dad” of Holly (Jean-Eudes Chiasson), Corey (Alyson McPherson), Terry (Noreen). Proud Pops of Rebéka (Kevin Arseneau), Patrice, Kassandra (Myles Cruickshank), Kristina (Matt Stewart), Kimberly. Great Pops of Hugo and Dawn. Fred was born on Oct, 2, 1930 in Ottawa, Ontario to Frederick and Elsie Frazer. Middle brother of six sisters, predeceased by all except Kathy and Cliff Talerico of B.C.

Fred enlisted in the Canadian Forces from 1949 to 1971 and worked as an Aero Engine Technician in the Air Force. For three years, Fred and family were stationed in Europe, with fond memories of exciting travel. After being released from the Air Force, Fred changed his career and became a high school Shop Teacher. Fred had a passion for gardening, square dancing and sailing his boat. He loved to travel and spend time at his cottage in New Brunswick. He was known for his infectious smile and kind, compassionate spirit. He will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Thanks to Heron Terrace for their exceptional care. They were his adopted family and were well loved. Special thanks to Connie, Life Enrichment Coach and friend, who always encouraged dad to participate in activities; Vicky, dad’s tablemate for nearly five years, who always doted on him; and Sandra, who always took our calls with care and compassion. We thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of our hearts.

If you so desire, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a future date in Bury, Quebec.

A Celebration of Fred’s Life will also take place at a later date.
