Obituary for Garnet Joseph Berthiaume

Garnet passed with the angels and the Mother of God into everlasting life on February 1, 2023 at 66 years of age. Forever loved by his wife Rosie of 45 years. Garnet devoted his life to his children Chris (Sarah) Berthiaume, Chantelle (Kyle) O’Neil and his grandchildren Aiden O’Neil, Austin O’Neil and Leah Berthiaume. Predeceased by two beautiful angels Lilly and Hope O’Neil. Cherished son-in-law to Dianne Fox (predeceased Garnet Fox). Predeceased by his parents Harvey & Alice Berthiaume. Loved dearly by his brother Dave (Nancy) Fox. He will be missed by his sisters Gloria (Norman) Bezaire, Marlene (Phil) Wells, predeceased Judy Wells, brother-in-law Allan (Marla) Wells, Gary (Cathy) Berthiaume, sister-in-laws Laurie (Steve) Sharron, Vicky (Marlon) Bondy, Beth Dender (Mark Bondy), Sue (Brad) Nemeth. Special Godfather to Matt Fox. Loved and respected by his Godfather Alfred Dufour. Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and close friends. A heart felt thank you to all of the medical professionals who cared for Garnet during his difficult journey over the last two years. Your thoughtfulness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Visitation to take place on Sunday February 5, 2023 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers at 7:30 pm at Families First, 585 Sandwich Street South, Amherstburg, 519-969-5841, Funeral Service from the funeral home on Monday February 6, 2023 at 10:15 am, then proceeding to St. John the Baptist Church for mass at 11am. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
