George passed away peacefully at Huron Lodge. Much loved husband of the late Dilys Allen (2018). Dearest father of Pamela (Richard) Durie and Brian (Penny). Cherished grandfather to Allen, Ian, Robert, Gregory (Lindsay) and Laura (Bryan). Great grandfather to Evelyn. Brother to Grant (the late Patricia) Allen and uncle to Susan and Debbie (Jim). A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Huron Lodge. George was born in Toronto Ontario and was a member of the RCAF in England during the Second World War. George and Dilys were married in York, England in 1945. They celebrated over 72 years of marriage. George was a graduate of the University of Toronto and was a professional engineer. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1987. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place.
