In 1954, 19 year old Gino Sorge came to Canada from Italy. In 1958, at the city market, he joined Adolf’s Produce and assumed the role of Salesman for the business. In 1967, Gino and his wife Fiorina, become the sole owners of Adolf's. Together, they spent long hours at their new store. In 1977, Gino bought Silverstein's Produce which was the largest produce wholesaler in the city at the time.
In 1991, he expanded the business to where it is currently located off the EC Row Expressway. He has left his legacy to his children, who are celebrating over 50 years of serving the public and continue to be supported by the community of Windsor and surrounding area.

If you so desire, donations made to the Alzheimer`s Society of Windsor & Essex County or Transition to Betterness, would be appreciated by the family.
