Obituary for Giovanni Pellegrini
PELLEGRINI, GIOVANNI (TITTUCCIO/GIO)
Passed away peacefully at age 80 on October 18, 2022 with his loving family by his side.
Dear husband and best friend of Silvana, loving father to Irina, Patrick & wife Gina (nee Menna). Predeceased by his parents, Fabiano & Teresa Pellegrini, dear brother to Paolo & Marisa Pellegrini and Alberto & Giuseppina Pellegrini in Italy. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Gio will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family and friends. He was a great mentor and tried to lead by example. The last portion of his career was spent at Southwestern Manufacturing where he was treated like family by all. He loved to laugh and make people laugh. He was always trying to build the “great car”, his Alfetta GT, on which he spent the best hours of his life. His hobby was fishing but sadly he never had time to pursue it.
He was a true friend to many and a rock to his family. His love, his patience and his amazing sense of humor will live with many forever.
The family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to the amazing nurses and doctors on the 4th floor CCU at Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus and the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre for the kind and compassionate care received.
Visitation at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor 519-969-5841 on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral Services on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 845 am then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
