Mrs. McCann was our chaperone to the World Amateur Golf Championships in Cali Columbia in 1987 (ish). She was so supportive and a real trooper especially in the tropical heat and humidity. She would come out every day to watch us golf and wore her full CLGA red uniform including nylons!!! We were more worried about her passing out in the heat than we were about our golf! She kept assuring us that she was fine and not bothered by the heat. She was a great ambassador for women’s golf and admired by many. She will be missed.
