Obituary for Greg Meek
Passed away peacefully at Hospice of Windsor on September 9, 2023 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 69. Reunited with his loving wife of 35 years Linda (nee Stumpilich). Cherished father of Brittany, Andrew (Salina) and Amy Stumpilich. Dear grandpa of Zoey-Lynn (Sean), Elliotte and Nora, and great-grandpa to Dante. Survived by his sisters Pam Vickery (Bart), Sandi Meek and Andrea Ethier (Larry), and sister-in-law Cathy Downs (Jim). Predeceased by his parents Reginald & Winnifred.
Greg retired from Ford Motor Company after 30+ years of dedicated service, receiving an award for never missing a single day of work. He was an avid sports fan, always cheering on his favourite teams the Blue Jays, Tigers, Leafs and Lions “to watch them lose”. He loved to be in nature, go for long walks and talk to his friends the birds, as well as sit by the waterfront and watch the cargo ships go by. He will be fondly remembered for his Dad Jokes, puns, and his kind and gentle nature.
Memorial visitation on Friday September 15, 2023, (what would have been Linda’s 71st birthday) from 1-3pm & 5pm until time of Memorial Service at 7pm at FAMILIES FIRST 1065 LAUZON RD. East Windsor.
