Obituary for Hector Lucier

(95 years of age, May 3, 2022) Born May 7, 1926. Beloved husband of Dolores (Chayer, nee Mayea) the late Jeannette (Mulholland, nee LaPointe) and the late Rose Marie Hilda (nee Morencie). Dearest father of Hector John (Laura), Rose May Medler (late Jack) (late Harvey), late Marie, late Cathy Ouellette (Gary), Laura Oxford (late Larry) (late Art), Jimmy (Brenda), Geraldine McCauley (late Gordon), Antoinette Simone (Bill), Annette and Anita Laframboise (Les).

Step father to the late Charmaine, late Roger, Karen. Also Jeanne, Edward, Yvette, Diane, Bill, late Denis, Louise, Claude and the late Paul. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Anna. Cherished grandfather of MANY grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of late Albert (Pauline), Joseph (Gisele), Leo (Dorothy), Ernest (Jeanette), late Lawrence (Pat), Alfred (Donna), Donald, late Janette (Leonard). Brother-in-law of the late Theresa and Mary Ann Lucier. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Hector was the owner of Lucier Drainage Supplies Ltd., and retired from Underground Specialties. He was a 3rd degree member of K of C 2844 McGregor and a Sir Knight with Fr. Louis Boué assembly 2355. Through his lifetime, Dad demonstrated great faith, compassion and care for everyone he met. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, biking, square dancing, cheering on the Blue Jays and a rowdy game of Euchre.

In light of Hector’s commitment to various charities over the years, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Hospice of Windsor.

Visitation Friday May 6th from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Visitation will resume on Saturday May 7th at 10am at St. Clements Church McGregor followed by Mass and Celebration of his 96th birthday at 11am. Interment St. Clements Cemetery McGregor.
