Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Feb 19, 2023 at 95 years of age. Irmgard was born in Karlsruhe, Germany to Richard and Maria Frech on March 7, 1927. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Knoess (February 1999). Cherished mother of Wolfgang (late Susan Luckel, February 2023), Rosemary Richards (David), and the late Randy Knoess (November 1981). Irmgard was the much-loved Oma of Nicole Sourenian (Mike), Lisa Burke (Dave) and Daniel Richards (Jes) (Norfolk, Virgina). Cherished Great Oma of Henry and Lucy Burke, Emery and Jack Richards, and Alex and Charlie Sourenian. Dear sister of the late Ursula Buchwald (the late Horst) and the late Hannelore Frech. Irmgard is survived by nephews Gunther and Juergen Buchwald of Germany. Oma loved her family dearly. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation Thursday February 23, 2023 from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 am at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
