Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We have many, many fond memories of Rick. Such as darting and our butterfly sagas. His quirky sense our humour will be missed.

Rick was a long-time online friend in the "World of Tanks" game. He saw my tanker name of "EssexScottishreboot" and friended me. My dad fought and was captured at the battle of Dieppe. Rick showed me much kindness because of respect for that event. Rick was even a tanker in the Canadian Militia. I will always be thankful to Ruthann for allowing me to come to Windsor and visit with Rick a few weeks before his passing. I will always remember his kindness and great humor. Semper Paratus my friend and comrade.

We are so saddened to learn of Rick’s passing. Rick was a long time good friend, who served as best man at our wedding. He had a unique, infectious humour, we could always count on him to bring laughter to our gatherings. He had such a variety of interests, including a passion for darts in his later years, though it required him to carry his oxygen which he put beside him to play. Ruthann was such a tremendous caregiver which is testament to their 55 years together. RIP dear friend 💕 🙏
