Peacefully on October 6, 2019 at the age of 81, with his loving family by his side. Survived by his dear wife Patricia. Beloved father of daughter Shelley Gilbert and husband William and son Barry and wife Michele. Adoring papa to grandchildren Liam, Cole and Emily. Survived by sisters Janet Sultini and Francis Allen, his brother Phillip Piquet and wife Karen. He was loved by many extended family members.

Jim was known for his generous ways, wonderful sense of humour and quick laugh. Jim owned and operated Riverside Elevators for over 40 years and was a past president and Honourary Member of Canadian Elevator Contractors Association. Jim was an avid curler and golfer for many years. He also enjoyed boating with friends and family. He was once president of the Windsor Curling Club and on the board of Pointe West Golf Club. He served as a long term member and board member of the YMCA Windsor/Essex. Special thanks to the Doctors and Staff of Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus ICU.
