Obituary for James Dimitrios "Jimmy" Karoulis
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a dear husband, father and grandfather, surrounded by his loving family at home on January 3, 2021 at 87 years of age. Loving husband of Pauline (nee Stogiantsis) for 65 years. Dearest father of Christine MacDonald (Richard) and Katherine Newman (Gerry). Devoted Papa of Hilary (Avram), Alexander and Jessica. Predeceased by parents Petros and Sophia. Brother of the late Phillip (the late Menka), the late Kosta (Temjana) and the late Cecile (the late Alek). Dearest Son in law of the late Evangelos and the late Steriani Stogiantsis. Caring brother-in-law of the late Christos (Valerie), the late Therese (Chris). James will be missed by many nieces, nephews and relatives in Canada, United States and Australia.
James retired as the Chef from Windsor Western Hospital I.O.D.E after 27 years of dedicated service. James will be remembered for his meticulous gardens, his joy of making wine and cooking for many friends and family members. If you so desire, donations to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario or the V.H.L Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
On Friday January 8, 2021, reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend a visitation from 10 am – 11:45 am at Families First, South Windsor. Due to the current COVID-19 limitations on public gatherings, a private family Funeral Service will take place at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church followed by interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
On Friday at 1 pm, a livestream link of the Funeral Service will be available on this web page. You can reserve your time for visitation using the RSVP tab or by calling directly.
