Obituary for James (Ross) Hamil

During the evening of Friday May 24, 2019, Ross received a call with an offer he couldn’t refuse. Not one to turn down a good deal, Ross accepted the offer to transition into everlasting life at the age of 85 years. Ross will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Joyce, of 62 years and his children Kim Budinsky (Steve), Barb Bidan (Ryan) and Suzanne Hamil. Ross will also be remembered as the world’s best Papa to his four grandchildren, Jennifer (David), Michael, Julia and Benjamin, by his precious great-granddaughter, Isla, as well as many extended family and friends.

Before retiring, Ross was one of the founders of Roaring Express.

Greeting Ross with open arms on his arrival in heaven were his mother and father, Ida Belle & Roy, siblings, Irvin, Gordon, Walter, Madeline and friends, and his beloved cat Chloe.

Ross spoke often of how sweet this long-awaited reunion would be! He planned to spend his eternal days eating powdered donuts, mastering the independent use of a remote control, drooling over the latest Harbor Freight ad and being so happy he’ll never need to throw a bun again! Ross left behind instructions for all who loved him to celebrate their time together on this earth.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation and laughs on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:30am at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Rev. Laura Jo Marzec.
