Obituary for Jean Clarke

Jean Ann Clarke

It is with broken hearts that the family of Jean Clarke announce her sudden and unexpected passing on January 27th, 2021 at the age of 78. Much loved and respected mother of Beverly (Wesley) and Alison (Matteo). Cherished and adored Nan to Cory (Alicea), Ashleigh (Rod) and Kaitlyn (James) and great grandchildren Noah, Madalyn, Charlotte, Calvin, Brooklyn, Syiriah (2020) and Mason. Jean was preceded by her parents Clifford and Phyllis Rumble. She was a cherished sister to Peter (2008) (Gill, 2015) and Carol. Jean will be dearly missed by her niece, nephew and many lifelong friends.

Jean was born and raised in Farnborough, England until her immigration to Canada in 1965. After a career as a supervisor at General Motors, Jean enjoyed over 20 years of retirement. She spent her retirement hiking, biking and cruising around the world. When her feet did land at home she could be found with her family and friends, at the gym or in someone's yard pulling weeds. Of all Jean's accomplishments, her greatest sense of pride was her family, who she taught to live life to the fullest and to be kind.

Jean always supported the interests of her daughters and the family would ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario or the Learning Disabilities Association Windsor/Essex.

Due to current restrictions, a private family service will be held and a burial at Victoria Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Jean's life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
