Obituary for Jeannette Rezoski

Jeannette lived like no other. Not a day to waste on being sad, angry or upset, she spewed positivity and had a ball everywhere she went. She was at the heart of every gathering especially Halloween when you never knew who she was in costume. Her hosting was legendary, many dinners, pool parties where everyone was always welcomed.

Mother of Jim, Al (John Moss), Don (Beth) and the late Jan McLeod (2007). Always beaming with pride for her granddaughters Jamie (Jeremy Capussi) and Lisa (Andrew) Raheb and great grandson Jack Raheb who she shared belly laughs with. Mom was a Red Cross home care worker, our Cub Scout leader, square dancer and almost never lost a hand at cards which she kept up right until the end.

Wife of the late Joseph Rezoski (1994) and later travelled US and Canada with her big band dance partner, the late Phil Mousseau (2013). Her "like-a-sister best friend" Mabel who she visited daily, split meals with and talked on the phone to the very last day. An early promoter of natural health, she was quick to prescribe an exercise or a marshmallow to cure you and would tell you in no uncertain terms to "eat something green with every meal" and "why bother worrying, everything always works out." She called her condo her little heaven and we are so glad she was healthy enough to live there until the end. Someone once said, “We are all just walking each other home” and we are grateful for Cousin Cheryl who helped Mom with that.

She was excited for her 98th birthday party and since no year ever went uncelebrated, the family will be hosting her party to celebrate her life as she would have wanted. If you come, and you have something pink, please wear it in Jeannette's honour, everyone is always welcomed.
