Joan Eileen Wuerch (Ulch)

With her loving husband of 71 years by her side, Joan Eileen Wuerch (nee Ulch), 88, of Windsor, Ontario was promoted to her new status in Heaven on April 26, 2020. Born to parents John and Josephine Ulch on November 9, 1931 in Gosfield North, Ontario, and predeceased by brother Gordon. Loved by honourary brother Ken Heuston (Heather). Married to the love of her life, Rev. Harry Wuerch in 1948, they began their life together in Woodslee, Ontario. After answering the call of God on their lives, moved to London, Ontario where they resided for 47 years. A gifted teacher of church classes, an incredibly supportive wife and mother, she loved her community of friends and family. She enjoyed travels to many countries, but especially the visits to churches across Canada to visit cherished friends. Her beautiful singing voice, quick wit and loving smile will be missed by all who knew her. She had a remarkable memory, loved to read and tell stories from the past. Her sewing and knitting skills kept her loved ones clothed and warm. She will be greatly missed by her husband, their six children, Elaine (George) Harron, Dan (Cheryl) Wuerch, Paul (Rhonda) Wuerch, Ruth (Ron) Kelly, Rev. Richard (Shirley) Wuerch, the late Don (Sue) Doherty, a host of grandchildren (26), great grandchildren (50), and great great grandchildren (3). She will be greatly missed until we meet again in Heaven. A Celebration of Life announcement will be made at a later date when social distancing measures have been eased.
