Obituary for Joe Alb
Passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 18, 2022 at 86 years of age. Beloved husband of Nadya, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage. Loving father of Gord (Gina), Steve (Vicky), Laurie Soda, and Tim. Cherished papa Joe of Jake, Alex and Joe. Son of the late Josef and Anna Alb. Dear cousin of John Alb (Elfrieda), Anna Bauer (late Nick), Katie Velagic (late Louie) and Jack Phillip (late Joyce).
Past president and longtime member of the Teutonia Club. Joe was the Past President of the Michigan Ontario Soccer Association and a recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the Essex County Soccer Association. Retired tool and die maker with 43 years of service with Windsor Tool and Die.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
Visitation on Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday 4:30 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Avenue, South Windsor (519-969-5841). On Monday, family and friends are invited to meet for visitation at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church (also known as Immaculate Heart Parish), 2153 Parkwood followed by funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens.
