Suddenly but peacefully at his home on November 28, 2018 at 79 years of age. Beloved companion of Eileen for 27 years. Loving father of Michelle and husband Darren Challey and Mark and wife Tish. Treasured Granddad of Austin, Taylor, Nick, Madie, Ty and Natalie and step-granddad of Lucas, Ryeland and Leevie. He will be sadly missed by his good friends in Canada and the UK, especially Rod Ison, the Wilkie family and by Brenda Jennings. John was a soccer referee and coach for 31 years. He was a life-long Coventry Sky Blues supporter and avid Detroit Red Wings fan. He was a member of the Windsor Cricket Club for many years. John retired as a professor at St. Clair College in 2004. Special thanks to Dr. Matthews and the caring staff at the Cancer Clinic, St. Elizabeth and CCAC. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting Tuesday 3-5pm and 7-9pm.
