Suddenly at home, surrounded by his family, John passed away on July 5, 2019 at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Jackie (nee Meloche). Cherished father of Shawna (Ryan Bates), Patrick, and Kyle. Proud Pepe of Harper Bates. Brother of Shirley Ann Deshields, Gail Dufour, Debbie Shepley and Billy Quinn. Reunited with his parents Rudy and Shirley Dufour and his brother Jimmy Dufour. John will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

John loved to be with his family and friends, on the golf course or around a pool table. He will forever be remembered for his big smile, laughter, and giving heart.

Visiting on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until prayers and words of remembrance begin at 8:30 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home, 585 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg 519-969-5841.
