Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on January 9, 2021 at 80 years of age. Cherished husband of Carolyn for 57 years. Loving father of Bill and his wife Judy, Wayne and his wife Suzie, and Don and his wife Michelle, and Tamara and her husband David Amyot. Treasured Papa of Paige and her husband Jacob Lacroix, Rebecca, Sheldon, Jaydon, Noah, and Ellise Fetter and Sean, Matthew and Sarah Amyot. Dear brother of Bill and his wife Louise Fetter of London. Loved brother-in-law of Bill and his wife Carol Van Vugt of Port Perry. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

John was a lifelong educator to both his students and family. He was an avid bowler, golfer and a talented wood carver. John was most happy at his farm in Tyrconnell where the peacefulness nourished his soul.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held with an interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
