Passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023 at the age of 87.

Dear husband, best friend, and soulmate to Shirley (nee Honour). Loving father to Don (Daniela), and Lynn (Dani). Silent Grandpa to Crissy, Victoria, Megan (Scott), Sarah, and Lauren (Jamie). Dear son of the late Darrel and Lettie. Brother to late Arno (Gloria) and Gloria (late Alan).

A man of few words, he was also known as a thinker. He was an avid sports fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and a long suffering fan of the Detroit Lions. A “fund” contributor to the family football pool and never a winner. He will be remembered by his family for his mischievous smirk. World traveler as long as it included cruising the Caribbean and Hawaii.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Extendicare Southwood Lakes for the wonderful caring and love shown to John.

Visitation at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor 519-969-5841 on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Cremation to follow.
