Obituary for John Stefanovski
Born Jonce Barjev on November 24, 1936 in Selo Nakolec, Prespa, Macedonia. John passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on May 14, 2022 at 85 years of age.
Beloved husband of 57 years to Andigoni “Gona”. Loving and devoted father of Steven, and Linda and husband Karl Leixner. Cherished and most proud Dedo to Matthew and Jenna Leixner. Predeceased by his parents Spiro and Bojana and son-in-law to the late Spiro and Zoi Damolis. Dear brother of Flora Mitrevski, late Mileva and late Vasil. Predeceased by brother-in-law Mile “Mike” Damolis. Dearest uncle to Rodna, Bistra, Peter, Silvana, Lence, David, Borce, late Dance, late Lube and their families. Respected Kume with the Mitrovich, Bosev and Krusarovski families.
John was a long time food and beverage salesman and a much loved member of his community. John had the “gift of gab” with everyone he ever met with the most contagious smile and he loved to joke around. John was a founding and lifetime member of St. Nicholas Macedonian Church.
