Obituary for Joseph Danny "J.D." Deziel

With heavy hearts after a very long and brave battle with I.P.F. and cancer, we announce the passing of Joseph at home with his loving family by his side on November 25, 2022.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife Brenda (nee. Reardon) of 46 years. Beloved father of Sandra (Brent), Joseph (Tess), John (Robyn), and Nick (Allison).

Joseph was a proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren, 2 great grand children with a 3rd on the way in April.
Predeceased by his father Joseph (1973) and his mother Verna (2010), his sister Judy (2008), and his Best Friend Buz (2018).

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his 6 brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, as well as his large extended family and in-laws.

Joseph was a truck driver for many years. He loved music and was a well-known local musician. J.D. always had a love for sports, either playing or watching and he especially loved golf.
Joe’s favorite pass time was sitting on the back porch playing guitar and enjoying a cold beer…or two.
A very special thank you to the family that helped us along our journey. Most especially the nurses at St. Elizabeth, The Hospice of Erie Shores, V.O.N, and Pro Resp.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Hospice of Erie Shores or The Lung Association of Windsor and Essex County or The Canadian Cancer Society.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday November 30, 2022 from 1 – 3pm and again from 5pm until time of service at 7pm at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841.
