Peacefully at home on May 20, 2021 with his loving family by his side in his 94th year. Reunited with his beloved wife and best friend Eileen of 64 wonderful years. Cherished father of Greg, Jeff and wife Linda (nee Nairn), Jo-Ellen and husband Brian Ellis. Adored grandpa of Lauren (Scott Sprung), Jennifer (Chris Petit), Lesley-Ann (Gus Mumby), Greg (Luisiana De La Garza), Alli, Matt (Sara Marino), Sarah and Chris. Proud great-grandfather of Charlotte, Leonardo and expected Baby Sprung. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Sarah Zakoor and siblings Ursula (George), Eddie (Gwen), Gord (Winnie), Louise, Mary Jane “Pinky” (Phil), Larry (Kay), Phil (Dolores). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Well known for Bud Zakoor’s Produce, a company he started in the 1960s, and successfully ran until his retirement in 1988. He was a proud volunteer with the Kiwanis and a life time member of the Knights of Columbus. Bud enjoyed many happy years of retirement. He loved travelling (particularly cruises), golfing, playing cards (especially Bridge), but above all else, Bud enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bud was a very generous, supportive and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.

Special thanks to St. Elizabeth and Hospice of Windsor for the excellent care provided to Bud over these past few months.

If you so desire, donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor.
