Obituary for Joseph Julien Beneteau

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 2, 2012 at 92 years of age. Loving husband of Dolores (nee Bissonnette). Dear father of Betty and husband Keith Hopkins, Michael "Mick" and wife Becky Beneteau, Ann Beneteau and Rudy, Mary and husband Gary Oriet, Marty and wife Nancy Beneteau, the late Kathy Stafford (1990) (Bill) and the late Richard Beneteau (2004) (Susan). Dearest son of the late Louis and Lucy Beneteau. Treasured grandfather of Nancy and husband Mike Smith, Chris, Marc and wife Bobbie, Matthew and wife Kristen, Kevin, Kate, Shawna, Michael, Lindsay, Steve, Kelly and Scott. Great-grandfather of Benjamin, Connor, Kyra, Tyler, Alexandra and Jonathan. Beloved brother of Madeleine and husband Nil Desmarais; Marguerite, wife of the late Dick Martin; Lucille and husband Ron Henderson; Paul and wife Terry Beneteau; John and wife Helen Beneteau; the late Phil and Mary Lou Beneteau; the late Marie and Gerry Desmarais and the late Florence and Ed Beaudoin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jules was a milkman for Purity Dairies for 22 years and a custodian for 15 years with the Essex County Separate School Board. He touched so many lives with his horse and buggies doing weddings, parties, parades and Santa events. He also volunteered at W.E.T.R.A. (Windsor/Essex Therapeutic Riding Association) for many years. If you so desire, donations to Canadian Food for Children or W.E.T.R.A. would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Sunday 3-5pm and 7-9pm and Monday 7-9pm. A prayer service will be held Sunday 4pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Tuesday, friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Dr.) for Mass at 10:30am. Cremation to follow.
