Mr Pastovich was one of a kind and a great teacher at Essex High for me. A Pastovich memory,
If you needed to leave class to go to the bathroom, don’t say “Can I?…“ , he would say “Kenya.? That’s in Africa”
you needed to say “May I go to the bathroom“. Late 1960’s at Essex High. Good guy.

Dina, Marnie, and Mrs. Pastovich,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your father and husband. Mr. Pastovich was a very nice man and always a positive and happy person. I also remember about him that he seemed genuinely interested in the life of the person he was talking to. My thoughts are with you all.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Pastovich. He was my favourite teacher at Commerce HS. He made learning a lot of fun and I always looked forward to his class through the years. One of my best memories is when he handed out small copies of the Mona Lisa and would ask us to say hello to Mona in that way only he could say “Mona”. Still makes me smile remembering.
Marnie and family, may your precious memories comfort you and know that he was such a positive influence as a teacher that his students will never forget. From

Dear Marni,
Our condolences on your dad’s passing. When we lived in the neighbourhood, I recall walking past his house many times and marvelling at his gardens and landscaping. He was often outside tending to them. May you keep sweet memories of him. Thinking of you.

Mr. Pastovich was an amazing teacher. I can still hear him say to keep typing because he didin't want to see me at the market with a babushka and bobby socks.
I am very sorry for your loss
