Peacefully on September 22, 2020, at the age of 91. Loving husband of the late Violet (nee Niechcial) (2007). Special friend of Judy Hannan. Beloved father of Richard (Kim), Dan, Patrick (Joan), and Michael. Cherished “Papa Joe” of Sarah (Dan), Adam (Meredith), Rachel (Sean), Dan (Yoshiee), the late Jennifer and the late Toni. Also survived by many great-grand-children. Predeceased by his siblings, Nicholas Schaffer and wife Ann, and Max Schaffer. Dear brother-in-law of Don (Stephanie) Niechcial, Louise LeBlanc (Ray). Also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.
