Obituary for Judith Ann Oakes-Radlin

Judy, Judy, Judy. In a line from the infamous movie “Only Angels Have Wings”, (Cary Grant said this line to Rita Hayworth), how special you were on January 2nd, 2021 when the Angels came to you and called out your name. “We have come to take you to a place where you can take flight and soar above the clouds. To a place that you could have never imagine. You can only bring with you your beautiful personality, that infectious smile, your fun-loving spirit, and all the peace and love that you have always brought to others. They are waiting for you Judy, those who have gone before you but have remained in your heart throughout your life. They will meet you, and you will be united for all of Eternity.”

Predeceased by her son Randy Oakes (1980), her mother Marie and father Howard Oakes, her granddaughter Shelby-Rae Lewis Labelle and her common-law husband Arthur Symons. And those you leave behind will always miss you. Your loving hubby Todd Radlin, your son William Horen and his wife Deb, grandchildren Chelsea, Will, Dan, Mitch and Noelle Horen. Daughter Catherine Marie Deroches (Ron) and children Teila Marie Lewis, Randy Labelle, EJ Radlin. Brother Howard Oakes, (Kim and Ren Pettica), sister Linda Marentette (Earl) (Paul, Michelle and Rodney). Sister Elaine Oakes Bertrand and friend Terry, (Kari and Louis Sleman) and 11 Great grandchildren. Many cousins, great nieces and nephews. Her friend Cheryl (Sheri) Schram.

Judith was so proud of earning her Beautician’s License. She retired from Ford Motor Company, Graduate U of W., later on became a Crossing Guard, she loved the kids. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Parish, (North Central Parish), where she was a member of the C.W.L., and a Eucharistic Minister. This has been her home Parish, where she had many conversations with Fr. Greg and Deacon Frank and where she brought her hubby to learn Catholicism and to be baptized into the fold. So Jude, rest now you have done your job well.

Therefore, Judy, Please take the hands of the Angels Judy, have faith that you will now go to a better place to be a part of a new life so different from the one you had. And Judy, know that the time you spent on Earth was not in vain. You will always be loved and never forgotten. Soooo... Judy, Judy, Judy, sit back, buckle up, enjoy the flight. All this time it has only been a heartbeat away. Heaven awaits, you have earned your wings.
