Obituary for Judy Jacobs

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Judy Jacobs (nee Waley, nee Brockman, nee Brian, nee Mathys) announces her passing after a brief battle with lung cancer at the age of 79 years in Windsor, Ontario.

She is survived by Husband Peter Jacobs, Mother Mary Waley, (Father Nicolas Waley deceased), (Sister Joan Beens deceased) Sister Joyce Waley Asmar, Brother James Waley, Son Troy Brian and Wife Susan Brian, (Son Todd Brian deceased), Daughter Tara Brian, Step Children Jason Jacobs and Wife Renee, and Jacquie Sajtovich and husband Michael. Grandchildren Chelsea, Megan and Brock Brian, Gavin Bath and step Grandchildren Nate and Grace Jacobs and Zachary, Emma, and Olivia Bourgeois. Many much loved nieces and nephews.

Judy was an amazing woman who had many varied occupations from waitress, to factory worker, to office worker at Mac J. Brian Mechanical, to Real Estate Agent at Results Realty and Valente Real Estate to courtesy driver at Performance Ford.

She was a member of the "Business and Professional Woman's club" for many years.

Although a dedicated employee in all of her positions, her main focus was always the good and welfare of her children, grandchildren, step children and step grandchildren. She was their biggest fan, and supporter.

Judy was a strong advocate for woman's rights and equality and through her creative side was able to assist in the betterment of young girls when she wrote a book called "Young Ladies should know" which focused on the change of young girls to adulthood and the issues that they face.

Judy also designed and patented an invention which sterilizes various hygienic tools, as well as passing her pilots license for small aircraft.

She lived life to the fullest, always dressing to the nines, and dancing to music while watching her son Troy’s various bands or just enjoying music in general.

Her positive attitude, thoughtful and fun loving nature was infectious and will be greatly missed.

Her family would like to thank the Hospice of Windsor Essex County for their compassionate care during her final hours.

As per her wishes a Private family celebration of Judy's life will be held at a later date.
