Obituary for Jules Edward Tisdelle

Jules Edward Tisdelle, age 72, of Stoney Point, Ontario passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. Cherished father of Alana (Jamie) Fryer, Derek (Michelle) Tisdelle, and Loren (Chelsea) Tisdelle; loving grandfather of Mara, Etta, Noah, Ewan, Quinn, Ashton and Celeste; and dear brother of the late Robert "Buster" (Marilyn) Tisdelle, Rosaire (Theresa) Tisdelle, Nest (Claire) Tisdelle, and Larry (Joan) Tisdelle. Jules is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. As well as a community of friends that are considered family.

A carpenter by trade, Jules apprenticed with Ellis & Kimberly Homes in the '70s. Then built custom family homes, as a general contractor in the '80s & '90s. "Retiring" to BC, Jules continued with home renovations, for an select group of clients; choosing to spend his outdoor time kayaking, riding his bike; and, walking the endless beaches and coastlines.

Jules is remembered as a rare craftsman, having invested his lifetime in the pursuit of salvaging timber; restoring the Tisdelle centennial homestead and planting trees, for his great-great grandchildren to one day walk beneath their shade.

Striking up conversations with everyone he met, Jules was always curious about how things worked. His legacy of building community (one hand-shake and one smile at a time) may be his greatest life's work.

Per Jules' wishes, cremation has taken place.
