Obituary for Justin McNamara
Peacefully at WRH Metropolitan Campus, Windsor on Tuesday July 4, 2023, surrounded by his family, at the age of 95.
Dear son of Sir Alphonsus and Mary Lyliane (McBride) McNamara. Beloved husband of Patricia (May 2023). Loving father of Mary (Jim), Dan (Shelly) and Kerry (1997).
Devoted grandfather to Tom, Anne, Trisha, James, and William. Amazing great grandfather to Lilly, Evan, and Molly. Survived by a large loving extended family.
Justin was a Mechanical Engineer who worked as a fuel test engineer with Avro Arrow until the end of that project. He moved to Windsor and taught Physics at The Western Ontario Institute of Technology (WOIT), until St. Clair College opened in 1965, where he was the Department Head of Physics and Math, ending his career as Head of Information Management.
Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Visiting will take place on Friday July 7, 2023 from 1pm- 4pm at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd, East Windsor, ON, (519-969-5841).
Justin will then be transferred to Carson Funeral Homes-J H Lynn Chapel (290 First St, Midland, ON, 705-526-6551) where visiting will resume on Wednesday July 12, 2023 from 9:00am until 10:30am followed by a procession to St. Patrick’s Church (10 County Rd 6 S, Township Of Tiny, ON 705-549-2560) for a funeral Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
