Juthika Sarkar

A Journey Called Life

Mrs. Juthika Sarkar, was born on 13th November, 1936 in Midnapore town of West Bengal, India. She left for her heavenly abode on 10th May, 2020 at 8 am in Windsor, Canada.
Mrs. Sarkar passed her School Final examination in 1953 and stood 6th among the girl’s in West Bengal. She was conferred the Mrinalini Devi Gold Medal. Subsequently she graduated in 1957 from The Lady Brabourne College with Philosophy Hons. Pursuing higher education she cleared M.A. in Philosophy from The University of Calcutta in 1959. In 1960 Mrs.Sarkar was appointed as a teacher in Rani Binodmanjari Govt. High school, Jhargram, West Midnapore, India.
Mrs. Juthika Sarkar tied her knot on 11th December, 1962 with Prof. Dr. Kalyan Kumar Sarkar who was then associated with The Visva- Bharati University. Here Mrs. Sarkar took up the study of The Chinese language.
In 1971 Mrs. Sarkar left for Windsor, Canada with her husband who started teaching in the University of Windsor. Thereafter she travelled world- wide with her husband. Their wonderful journey took them to countries like Japan, China, Far East Asia and several European countries. With an eagerness of learning new cultures and history
