Obituary for Kenneth H. Havens

Passed away at home on February 2, 2023 at the age of 73. Loving husband and best friend to Joyce Havens (née Beardmore), with whom he celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage. Adored father to Jeffrey (Kerri) Havens and Mark (Krystin) Havens. One and only Gipper to Myles, Sawyer and Rowland. Ken will be missed by his grand dogs Gary and Finnegan. Dear son to the late Milford and Bess Havens. Dear brother to the late George (survived by his wife Seonaid) Havens. Beloved (best) brother-in-law to Jamie (Sue) Beardmore and Jane (Rod) Van Buskirk. Ken enjoyed his daily meetings with Rod, solving the world’s problems. Life long friend to William (Naomi) Pengelly. Ken will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ken enjoyed many various sports, including his love of baseball, which he passed down to his sons and grandsons whom will carry on his memory. Ken retired from ENWIN and during his retirement years loved spending time at his cottage in Bracebridge and his home in Florida.

If you so desire, memorial donations to Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial visiting Monday February 6, 2023 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor (519-969-5841). On Tuesday February 7, 2023 family and friends are invited to meet at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian church from 10:30 a.m. until a Celebration of Ken’s life begins at 11:00 a.m.
