Obituary for Laura Niziolek (Mooney)

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Laura on March 12, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife & best friend to Michael, who was always by her side, recently celebrating 33 years of marriage. Exceptional mother to Ellary (Dustin) & Jared (Shaylynn). Cherished daughter of the late Joseph & Agnes Mooney. Beloved little sister of Patrick (2000) & Joanne Mooney, Joanne (2020) & Norman (2006) Hagman, Colleen & Mike Ganley, Susan (2008) & Remo Copat and Mike Mooney. Loving Aunt to Rae-Anne (Tony), Lisa (Mark), Leigh-Anne (Steve), Bridget (Vince), Michael (Rachel), Paul & Kristine (Guy). Great-Auntie Laura to Abigail & Grace.

Dearly loved by the Niziolek family, her in-laws, the late Edward and Mary-Ann Niziolek, brother-in-law Craig, niece Georgia & her mother Teri Strain.

Laura will be deeply missed by many lifelong friends, colleagues and extended family members, including her best friend Josette.

Our lives will be immensely impacted by the loss of such a vibrant, fun-loving, thoughtful & selfless woman. Not only devoting her life to family & friends, but tirelessly working towards the success of Lilly Kazzilly’s, serving the public for 25 years.

We’d like to give a heartfelt thanks to Chris Palazzolo & Laura’s childhood friend Rose Power for their continued efforts in her care. We thank everyone for their support during her time of need, it truly meant the world to her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday March 19, 2023 from 2pm - 5pm & 7pm - 9pm at Families First - South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841).

Mass & words of remembrance will take place on Monday March 20, 2023 at 11am, everyone is invited to meet directly at St. Joseph Church, River Canard (9399 N Townline Rd.) Procession to follow after Mass to Heavenly Rest Cemetery for interment.
