Obituary for Lawrence D. Trombley

Passed peacefully on January 25, 2023 at the age of 92.

Cherished husband of over 68 years of Dorothy (nee Beneteau). Born in Harrow on February 20, 1930 to Dolphis and Cecile (nee Talbot). Loving Dad to James (Lisa), Annette (Terry), David (Susan), John (Kara) and the late baby Girard. Beloved Pépé to Stacey, Emily, Dale, Luke, Sean, Brendan, Courtney, Erin, Daniel, Natasha, and Kira. Dearest Great-Pépé to Mercedes, Enzo, Campbell, Cormack, Leo, Caffrey, Nora, Lily, and Theodore. Predeceased by siblings Pearl (Norman) Jones, Ivan (Marie), Gordon, Jean (Don) Pepper, Joan (Jerry) Findlay, Roger (Judy), Roy (Irene), Dale, and siblings-in-law Marcia Trombley and Larry Campbell. Survived by siblings Clifford (Darlene), Ronald, Doris Martin, Joyce Campbell, Carol, Bruce, Paul, Sharron (Dennis) Burson, and Linda (Allen) Hamil. He will also be missed by his extended Beneteau family.

Lawrence retired as a Truck Driver for Overland Express after many years of dedicated service. He was a life long member of the Knights of Columbus in River Canard and a long serving usher at St. Joseph Parish. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed travelling to the family cottage at Harris Lake and Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph Church – River Canard would be appreciated.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the prayer service at 3:30 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home, 585 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (519-969-5841). Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at St. Joseph Church – River Canard. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
