Obituary for Lawrence J. "Chip" Bezaire

Peacefully, on November 26, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Patricia (née Nantais) for 66 years. Loving father of Suzanne DeJonge (Ben), Denise Cecile (Pete), Christine, Linda Nelson (Wayne), David (Laura), Jim (Laura), Elizabeth, Ron (Michelle). Cherished Pépé of Erik, Christopher (Sarah), Stephen (Stephanie), Brigitte (Scott), Caroline (Charles), Kelley (Mitch), Ryan (Andrea), Jenna, Max, Andrew, Sophie, Nicole and Noah. Special Grand-pépé of Lilliene and future great-grandchild. Dear son of the Late Alphonse and Louise (Lajeunesse). Survived by his brother Leo (predeceased by Jeannette). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Bill (Thelma), Eva Kanaski (Chet), Stan (Ethel), Corinne Stewart (Friel), Theresa Forsyth (Don) Harrison (Jack) and Louis (Rachel). Dear son-in-law of the late Lester and Agnes (Lauzon) Nantais. Brother-in-law of Mary Rose Cloutier (the late Fred), Gerald Nantais (the late Marion), the late Jackie and Ralph Lebert, Marguerite McCarthy (the late Warren), Jeanine McNeil (the late Bob), the late Leonard Nantais (survived by Barb). Survived by several nieces and nephews. Until his retirement, Larry worked as a landscaper with Alpine Nursery, Malden Tree Farm and as part-owner of Malden Landscaping, once the premier landscaping company of its time, with his nephews John and Joel Bezaire. He was a member of Landscape Ontario. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff who cared for Larry at Windsor Regional Hospital- Ouellette Campus, the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Units at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital, Larry’s doctors; Dr. Robert McKay, Dr. Michael Winger and Dr. Craig Pearce. A special thanks to LIN and St. Elizabeth Health Care, especially the wonderful care given by April.
