Obituary for Lawrence "Larry" Serre

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Larry from his earthly journey and now is free from pain and suffering on April 16, 2024 at the age of 79.

Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Lou Serre for 39 wonderful years. Cherished and loving father to Patrick (Tara). Proud grandfather of Nathan and Olivia. Predeceased by his father Lawrence R. Serre (WWII 1944). He will also be missed by his furbaby Finnegan and good friend Ken. Larry was blessed with many loving family and friends.

He was so proud of his accomplishment to be the #1 Real Estate Salesperson in Essex County in 1976. But his most cherished legacy was his family of whom he adored. His fun loving, happy-go-lucky nature and joy for life was infectious. He would like to thank all of his golf buddies for many years of fun and laughter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He brightened the lives of all who knew him.

He was a member of the 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Society and also a member of RCL Branch 594 for over 35 years.

If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor or the Windsor Essex County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.

Cremation has taken place.

On Saturday April 20, 2024 family and friends are invited to meet at St. John the Baptist Church, Amherstburg, for memorial visiting from 11 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 1 pm.

A private family interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lasalle to take place on Tuesday.
