Condolences & Donations

To Donna and family: My deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. While I met her only a few times, I was always impressed by Donna's stories of her mother's sharp mind (an avid reader of The New Yorker) and zest for life. My thought are with you. Sincerely, Dana Flavelle

Leah (Mrs Laporte to me ) was sharp cool lady with a great love of music. She had an extensive collection of rock and jazz albums. We used to listen to standards by Marlena Shaw and Sarah Vaughan. How cool is that!

To Donna and family
Although there was a 30 year age difference between us, we became fast friends with Leah and Norm. We shared the same interests in film, travel, books, and conversation. Leah was a great conversationalist! I miss her and will remember her fondly. Kirk would be so sad to hear of her passing. XO

To the Laporte Family: My long-time friend Donna, (daughter of Leah) told me numerous stories over the years. From afar I admired her zest for life and her love of music and going to many concerts. I had the wonderful occasion to meet Leah with Donna at a concert at Windsor's casino five years ago. She was so excited to be at the concert and she could probably out dance most people there! She seemed like a woman who embraced life and shook it up a bit. My sincere condolences to Donna and the rest of the Laporte family on the passing of Leah. Take care.

To Barb, Ron and all of Mrs. Laporte’s extended family,
What a wonderful privilege it was to have known Leah. She always managed to make us laugh with her great sense of humour. Although we are so sad to hear of her passing, we know that you will, without a doubt, find strength in remembering the many good times you shared throughout her life. May God rest her soul and bring you peace.
Our deepest sympathy to you all.
