So shocked and saddened to hear the news. I met Linda when our sons played football together for WMFA. We were new to the sport and new to the team. Linda was so warm and welcoming and made us feel like we belonged. She was so full of life and so fun to be around. Our hearts and prayers go out to Tyler and the Dawson family.

Friends and family today we put to rest our darling Linda Dawson. I’m sure this is well attended due to the infectious personality that Linda maintained all her life. She was at our house all the time looking for something to eat. Linda became an unofficial Cuban. My heart is heavy due to my absence in physical mode but my thoughts and prayers is there with the family. Momma Wanda, I love you for all the encouragement and trust you bestowed in me to look after your daughters when we went out. It’s appropriate for this day. For it to rain like it has this week. We are missing light that Linda held in her soul. Yes, we miss Linda immensely, but she lives with us everyday. I remember her sharing her strength when David passed. Hopefully, I can return the favor to the family. Tyler, remember, you have an uncle Vinnie here for you. Man, it’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

My deepest condolences from Toni and I . I can’t stop the tears like the rain. Goodbye, dear friend until we meet again. God bless your soul.

I had the pleasure to work with Linda in our little gift shop at the Casino years ago, I kept in contact thanks to social media. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Linda was sunshine for all that knew her. We had some good laughs; she was always welcoming and fun. Please find comfort in the memories and out pour of love. She will be missed but not forgotten. When the Dawson family moved into the Walkerville area, it was like a breath of fresh air! I knew the sisters, Linda and Kim, who were not only beautiful but charismatic and exuberant! To learn that Linda has left us is deeply saddening. To make sense of it, I ask God to ease all of your family’s suffering and hold you all close with love and enduring memories of your Angel, Linda, who has found a home on the other side. May your faith in God sustain you during this very difficult time of grief. You are in my prayers.
