Lorraine Duguay (nee LeBreton)

Passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, on June 8, 2020 at 93 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Gérard Duguay (2007). Cherished mother of Sylvine Iafrate (Massimo), Micheline Duguay-Levesque (Marc), and Lisette Forfitt (David). Dearest mémé of Jessica Sylvestre (Brent), Jocelyne Cranny (Zachary), Jeremy Iafrate, Caroline Hazen (Kyle), Corey Forfitt (Jenna), and Brittany Forfitt. Loving great-mémé of Mayelle, Élyse and Benoit Sylvestre, Payton Forfitt and Penelope Cranny. Predeceased by her parents Edouard and Imelda LeBreton. Loving sister of the late Edouard LeBreton (Nina), Doris Julien (the late Rosaire), the late Armand LeBreton (Yolande), and Lonia Marcil (the late Jean-Claude). Lorraine will be sadly missed by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was a proud member of Le club d’âge d’or (St. Jérôme), Le club d’âge d’or (Maison Richelieu), Les femmes de fédération (section Jeanne Mance), and the Mastectomy Club of Windsor. She was a great historian and community oriented woman. Other than her adoring family, her legacy will be the thousands of historical facts that she knew by heart and the many scrapbooks and documents that she shared with us all.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Riverside Place (Pelee) for treating our mother like she was their own. If you so desire, donations to the Riverside Place Residents’ Council (no tax receipt provided) or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor & Essex County would be appreciated by the family.

A private family service and interment was held at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
